Job Overview

In this role, you will be responsible for handling customer inquiries received via email, chat, or inbound calls, interpreting messages, and responding appropriately. You will utilize our computer systems to perform necessary searches, look-ups, and maintain customer accounts in accordance with established departmental policies and workflow priorities. As a key member of our customer service team, you will be expected to provide exceptional support, resolve customer complaints, and communicate feedback to management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Managing client-specific data using various resources and tools
  • Communicating customer complaint trends and feedback to management to drive continuous improvement
  • Performing basic customer account transactions, such as updates and modifications
  • Maintaining performance standards, confidentiality, and adhering to company policies and procedures

Requirements and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess a combination of skills, experience, and personal qualities. These include:

  • A High School diploma or equivalent; background in customer service is advantageous
  • Basic proficiency in PC use and skills, including typing speed of 20-25 words per minute
  • Strong verbal and written English communication abilities, with excellent problem-solving skills
  • Experience with using a 10-key is preferred, as well as competence in basic math skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on customer satisfaction

Training and Development

We are committed to providing our employees with the training and development opportunities they need to succeed. As an Email Customer Service Representative, you will participate in virtual training via Microsoft Teams, which will cover all aspects of the role, including our systems, policies, and procedures. The training schedule is as follows:

  • December 2 - December 13: Monday - Friday, 1-8 pm or 2-9 pm
  • December 16 - January 3: Monday - Friday, 1-8 pm (no training on December 24, 25, 31, or January 1)
  • January 6 - January 17: Monday - Friday, 9 am-4 pm
  • January 6 - January 24: Monday - Friday, 4-9 pm

Work Schedule and Environment

This is a remote job opportunity, which means you will have the flexibility to work from home. To be eligible, you will need to reside in Iowa, ideally within a 60-mile radius of our locations in Boone, Des Moines, or Wilton. You will also need to have a clean, noise-free workspace and a high-speed internet connection, with a minimum download speed of 7 MBPS and upload speed of 2 MBPS. We will provide all necessary computer equipment, and you will be expected to maintain a stable and secure work environment.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive base wage of $14.50 per hour, with opportunities for shift differentials and weekend shifts. The shift differential rates are as follows:

  • 2nd Shift: $0.75 for each paid hour if 50% or more of scheduled hours occur between 4 pm-12 am on a routine and recurring basis
  • Weekend Shift: $3.75 per hour for hours worked between 3 am Saturday to 11 pm Sunday
