Work Environment and Schedule
Our standard working hours are Monday through Friday, with a 40-hour workweek that includes one late night per week once you are fully trained. You will be working in a fast-paced office environment, where no two days are ever the same. Our hours of operation are from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. eastern standard time, and you may be required to work voluntary or mandatory overtime on occasion.
Key Responsibilities
As a Customer Service Representative at blithequark, your primary goal will be to provide outstanding service to our customers, addressing their requests, resolving issues, and ensuring their overall satisfaction with our products and services. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Providing professional communication via phone and email to our customers and internal support teams, ensuring that all interactions are handled promptly and accurately.
 - Utilizing our sales order entry system, website, and knowledge base resources to provide accurate and timely assistance with order placement and status inquiries, including pricing, availability, order status, shipping details, billing questions, as well as returns and cancellations.
 - Taking the initiative to troubleshoot and assist our customers with all requests and/or issues that arise, aiming for first-call resolution whenever possible.
 - Answering product or service inquiries, troubleshooting, and supporting our customers in facilitating communication for technical assistance as required.
 - Collaborating with other departments within blithequark to find solutions for both internal and external customers, demonstrating our commitment to teamwork and customer satisfaction.
 - Meeting established performance metrics, including quality standards, after-call work (ACW), average handle time (AHT), and following up on all actions in accordance with departmental standards, while achieving expected call and email productivity.
 - Staying abreast of new processes and initiatives within the company through training updates and demonstrating our 4-I values – Intensity, Integrity, Innovation, and Involvement.
 
Essential and Preferred Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess a combination of education, experience, and skills that align with our requirements. These include:
- A high school diploma or equivalent; a college degree is desirable.
 - Demonstrated understanding of personal computer applications such as Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and other programs.
 - Two years of related customer service experience is preferred, with prior experience working in Oracle JD Edwards Enterprise One Software and SAP Software being a plus.
 - A customer service orientation, with excellent interpersonal skills, a friendly and outgoing personality, and a genuine enjoyment in assisting others.
 - Superior communication skills, including probing, active listening, and written skills, with the ability to exhibit patience and understanding to diffuse customer dissatisfaction.
 - Proactive problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to demonstrate judgment, tact, and subtlety in looking after customers and handling confidential and/or proprietary information.
 - Attention to detail and quality, with interpersonal time management and the ability to multi-task in order to meet customer commitments in a fast-paced environment.
 - The ability to learn and apply new information, working independently and demonstrating resourcefulness.

Compensation and Benefits
The hourly pay range estimated for this position based in New York is $19.00–$20.00. This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy.
