A Day in the Life of a Customer Service Representative
As a Customer Service Representative at blithequark, your day will be filled with exciting challenges and opportunities to make a difference in the lives of our customers. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Answering a high volume of inbound phone calls, providing accurate information about dental insurance benefits and claims, and ensuring that our customers receive exceptional support.
- Listening attentively to our customers, asking questions to further determine their needs, requests, or concerns, and providing personalized solutions to address their queries.
- Thoroughly documenting calls to include contact information, nature of the call, and resolution provided, ensuring that our customers' issues are resolved efficiently and effectively.
- Utilizing multiple resources to research and resolve any issues related to customer inquiries, providing follow-up responses, and ensuring that our customers are satisfied with the outcome.
- Assisting with claims processing, including entry of claims, requesting information from customers, sending out refund requests, quarterly statements, and other communication as needed, to ensure seamless and efficient claims processing.
- Answering calls or written inquiries regarding pre-tax spending accounts, such as health and dependent care Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA), Health Savings Accounts (HSA), Health Reimbursement Arrangements (HRA), and other employee benefits, providing expert guidance and support to our customers.
- Exhibiting a positive, professional demeanor and tact throughout all calls, ensuring that our customers feel valued, respected, and supported.
- Consistently adhering to all customer service performance metrics, such as call documentation, quality and accuracy of information provided, to ensure that our customers receive exceptional service and support.
Requirements
To be successful as a Customer Service Representative at blithequark, you will need:
- A high school diploma, with some college preferred, to demonstrate your commitment to learning and personal growth.
- Two years of experience in a high-volume customer service setting, where you have developed strong communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
- Previous experience in the healthcare/dental field, benefits claims, or consumer-driven health plans, which will enable you to provide expert guidance and support to our customers.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong attention to detail, to ensure that our customers receive accurate and timely information.
- The ability to thrive in a fast-paced, structured call center setting, where you will be working in a dynamic and supportive team environment.
- The ability to utilize various technology platforms for effective communication, problem-solving, and relaying information to constituents, to ensure that our customers receive seamless and efficient support.
- The ability to understand and become knowledgeable of Release of Information policies and procedures and HIPAA regulations, completing work in compliance with these and other standards, to ensure that our customers' sensitive information is protected and secure.
- Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office and virtual communication applications, such as Microsoft Teams, Zoom, etc., to enable you to work efficiently and effectively in a remote environment.
- The ability to quickly adapt and learn new technologies as they are implemented in the workplace, to ensure that you remain up-to-date with the latest tools and systems.
- Residency in one of the following states: Kansas, Oklahoma, Missouri, Texas, Nebraska, Iowa, or South Dakota, to enable you to work remotely and provide support to our customers in these regions.
- Regular and predictable attendance, to ensure that our customers receive consistent and reliable support.
