As a Remote Data Entry Specialist at blithequark, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our databases. Your primary responsibilities will include gathering data, entering information into databases, examining records for precision, modifying databases with new or amended information, conducting routine backups, and accessing records and electronic documents. Key Responsibilities

  • Gathering data and entering information into databases, ensuring all entries are complete and correctly formatted to maintain data integrity
  • Examining records for precision, cross-referencing data entries with original documents or other reliable sources to identify and correct any discrepancies or errors
  • Modifying databases with new or amended information as required, adding new entries, editing existing records, and removing outdated information
  • Conducting routine backups of data to guarantee preservation, creating copies of the database at scheduled intervals and storing them in secure locations
  • Accessing records and electronic documents from the database, retrieving specific records or documents as needed and performing searches using various criteria
  • Classifying and arranging physical records or notes following data entry, categorizing documents based on predefined criteria and ensuring they are stored in a manner that facilitates easy retrieval
  • Preparing digital documents or files for printing, formatting digital documents to ensure they are print-ready and adjusting layouts as necessary
  • Supplying team members with requested data or information, responding to requests from colleagues and providing effective communication

Essential Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required, associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field preferred
  • At least 1-2 years of experience in data entry, database management, or a related field
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to work independently in a remote setting
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy, with the ability to identify and correct errors
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and experience with database management systems
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to respond to requests from colleagues and provide support as needed

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in a remote or virtual environment, with the ability to self-motivate and manage time effectively
  • Familiarity with data backup and recovery procedures, with experience creating and storing secure backups
  • Knowledge of data classification and organization principles, with experience categorizing and storing physical records and documents
