Key Responsibilities

  • Input data and make changes to data in digital databases, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
  • Create spreadsheets to track important client information, maintaining organized and up-to-date records.
  • Transfer data from hard copy to a digital database, verifying outdated data and making necessary changes to records.
  • Update client information in a database, ensuring data integrity and security.
  • Organize existing data in a spreadsheet, identifying areas for improvement and implementing best practices.
  • Verify outdated data and make any necessary changes to records, maintaining data quality and consistency.
  • Search for and investigate information contained in files, providing support for special projects and ad-hoc requests.
  • Perform regular database backups to secure data, ensuring business continuity and minimizing risk.
  • Input text-based and numerical information from source documents, maintaining attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Provide occasional administrative support, collaborating with the team to achieve project goals and objectives.
  • Sort and organize hard copies of paperwork after entering data electronically, maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
  • Review data for deficiencies or errors, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
  • Assist with special projects that require large amounts of data entry, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability.
  • Provide data entry support across departments on an ad-hoc basis, building relationships and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
  • Type in data quickly and efficiently, meeting productivity and quality standards.
  • Collaborate with a mentor or team to complete data entry tasks, seeking feedback and continuously improving performance.
  • Learn and apply data entry best practices, including troubleshooting techniques, to ensure data quality and integrity.
  • Gain hands-on experience with databases and spreadsheets, developing skills and expertise in data management and analysis.

Essential Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you should be currently pursuing or have recently obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Data Science, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent learning experience). You should have foundational knowledge of spreadsheets, Excel, Google Sheets, basic data entry, and management, as well as familiarity with a variety of databases.

Preferred Qualities

We are looking for individuals with strongly developed organizational skills, computer skills in Microsoft Office and Google-based programs, and excellent customer service skills. The ability to clearly and efficiently communicate and retrieve important information to update records is essential. Project management skills, including managing multiple projects at one time and maintaining accuracy, are also highly desirable.
