Role Overview

We are seeking an exceptional Machine Learning Customer Solutions Engineer to join our team. As a critical member of our customer-facing team, you will play a pivotal role in supporting healthcare organizations in integrating our machine learning foundation models into their radiological clinical software. Your expertise will be instrumental in assisting with model fine-tuning, prompt engineering, and pre-sales activities, including delivering demos to potential clients. This role demands a unique blend of technical expertise, client engagement, and strong collaboration and communication skills to ensure successful implementation and optimal clinical outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Fine-Tuning:
    • Collaborate with clients to fine-tune foundation models for specific radiology tasks, such as anomaly detection and image segmentation, utilizing various fine-tuning methodologies, including prompt engineering and parameter-efficient fine-tuning.
  • Pre-Sales Support and Demos:
    • Partner with our client experience team to deliver demos and facilitate technical discussions, highlighting the capabilities of our foundation models to potential clients and showcasing their value in real-world applications.
  • Client Support and Integration:
    • Serve as the primary technical contact for our clients, working closely with application developers to implement solutions using our foundation models and ensuring seamless integration into their existing workflows.
  • Workflow Optimization:
    • Ensure that AI models are tailored to fit seamlessly into radiological workflows, optimizing outputs for clinical decision-making and improving patient outcomes.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration:
    • Work closely with our product, engineering, and client engagement teams to address client needs and feedback, fostering a collaborative environment that drives innovation and excellence.
    • Assist in translating complex technical findings into actionable insights and recommendations for non-technical stakeholders, contributing to impactful business decisions that propel our mission forward.
  • Documentation:
    • Assist in the development of technical materials, including integration guides, training documents, and best practices for model fine-tuning, ensuring that our clients have the resources they need to succeed.
    • Solicit, summarize, and document platform and tooling requirements and feature requests for our product development team, driving continuous improvement and innovation.
    • Prepare model details for client regulatory documentation, ensuring compliance and transparency in all aspects of our work.

Essential Qualifications

  • Experience: 7-10 years of total experience, including 3-5 years in a technical client-facing role, with previous experience working on machine learning projects and industry knowledge of standard technologies in the machine learning space.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Python, machine learning frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch), and understanding of radiological software (PACS, DICOM), with a strong foundation in computer science and software engineering principles.
  • Communication: Strong ability to explain and present complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Education: B.S. degree in a quantitative field, such as Computer Science, Engineering, or a comparable degree/experience, with a strong academic record and a passion for learning and growth.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Generative LLM Fine-Tuning and Prompt Engineering: Familiarity with fine-tuning large language models and prompt engineering techniques, with a deep understanding of their applications and limitations.
  • Experience with Cloud Native Architecture: Knowledge of machine learning model development and deployment in a cloud-native environment, with experience working with containerization, orchestration, and serverless computing.
  • Experience with RESTful APIs and Radiology Workflow Orchestration Tools: Familiarity with RESTful APIs, radiology workflow orchestration tools, and medical interoperability standards, with a strong understanding of their role in integrating AI models into clinical workflows.
  • Familiarity with Pre-Sales Processes: Experience with pre-sales processes, including delivering demos, gathering requirements, and customizing solutions for clinical environments, with a strong understanding of the sales cycle and the importance of building strong relationships with clients.
  • Previous Experience in a High-Growth Stage Team: Experience working in a team that has undergone rapid growth, with a strong understanding of the challenges and opportunities that come with scaling a business.
