Job Overview

The Customer Service Representative will play a vital role in blithequark's Contact Center for Foodservice success, handling service and delivery inquiries, resolving concerns, and establishing Gold Standard business relationships with our clients. This is a fully remote position, offering the opportunity to work from the comfort of your own home, as long as you are based in the United States.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional sales and sales support interactions with customers and sales associates via phone, email, and teams chat, addressing general inquiries, feedback, incidents, and order management.
  • Utilize computerized systems for tracking, information gathering, and troubleshooting to resolve customer issues efficiently.
  • Answer basic questions, resolve basic problems, and document issues, identifying and taking appropriate actions to resolve inquiries related to order entry, order modification, customer billing and payments, pricing, reporting, and customer-facing applications.
  • Actively redirect incoming callers to self-service options and perform proactive outbound follow-up communications as necessary.
  • Process orders and other related voice and non-voice tasks as needed to meet client needs, ensuring timely and effective resolution of customer inquiries.

Essential Qualifications

  • A High School Diploma or equivalent is required, demonstrating a strong foundation in education and a commitment to learning.
  • At least 2 years of customer service experience, preferably in a call center environment, with a proven track record of delivering exceptional customer support.
  • Previous experience in the foodservice or foodservice distribution industry is preferred, although not required, as we are willing to train the right candidate.
  • A self-starter with excellent customer service skills, able to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on resolving routine problems and questions.
  • Ability to select and apply standard policies and procedures, with excellent oral and written communication skills, including good vocabulary, proper grammar, and the ability to compose routine written communications independently.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous call center experience, with a strong understanding of call center operations and customer service principles.
  • Experience working in the foodservice or foodservice distribution industry, with a deep understanding of the sector and its unique challenges.
  • Strong technical skills, with the ability to learn and adapt to new systems and technologies quickly.

Requirements for Working from Home

  • A private and secure space to work uninterrupted by others in the home, with a reliable internet connection and a CAT 7 Ethernet cord or higher (WiFi connections are not allowed).
  • All equipment needed for the job will be provided by blithequark, although you will be responsible for providing your own Ethernet cord.
