The Ops Management and Capacity Planning Department is part of the greater operations department supporting service sites and construction projects. The department is responsible to provide Vestas trained and qualified technicians as requested by service and construction. This group is a key activity within the company because execution of construction projects and service plans is dependent on the ability to move resources where they are needed on schedule.

This role supervises a team of service operations dispatchers who dispatch technicians.

General Purpose:

Optimize planning & scheduling to assist with optimal capacity plan for sub-region, validate & update forecasting, Identify Resource needs within Sub-region, work with resource manager to fulfill needs, overall support for area planning. Report to Sr Operations & Capacity Planning Manager on status.

Responsibilities

Perform annual capacity plan budget on Sub region including QTY follow up

Responsible for balancing capacity between dispatcher within the Sub region. Close cooperation and dialog with Dispatcher and Capacity Planner

Optimization potential identified and implemented

Sub-region anchor point for streamlined resource management

Sub-region anchor point for regional Planning & Scheduling project implementation as well as Capacity Planning

Material and resource analytics and performance driver in Sub-region

Sub-region Regular performance reporting to management

Continuously improve the planning & scheduling to ensure optimal levelled service activities

Assist in the creation of a capacity plan and monitor it within the dedicated sub-region

Validate and update capacity forecast on regular basis

Identify need for temporary technician resources and liaise with Dispatchers / Site or Resource Managers

Support with CIM sequence / execution timelines and review resource requirements

Analysis and monitoring of material inventory / availabilities and subcontractor and resource performance

Provide support for Area Planning

Continuously improve and implement Planning & Scheduling projects and processes

Qualifications

Bachelors degreed preferred in relevant field (ie. Business Analytics, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, Data Analytics)

2+ years related experience required (ie. Capacity Management, Operations Management or Resource Planning) Experience creating Capacity Planning Models for expected demand volume of intake (within a banking or financial institution is acceptable)

Good experience in a technical service environment with focus on Planning & Scheduling

Good IT skills and experience with information processing in databases and planning tools

Ability to travel up to 25% of the time.

Competencies

Analytical and detailed working approach

Self-organization / good time management and stress resistant

Good communication skills in English (and local language)

Experience in managing smaller development / improvement projects (process & systems)
