Compensation: Competitive salary ranging from $50,000 to $171,600 per year, commensurate with experience, credentials, and assigned duties. Paid biweekly. Work Schedule... Full-time: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM Part-time: Three weekdays within standard business hours Work may be conducted in-office, remotely, or in the community Anticipated Travel: 0% with no additional compensation for travel Summary Of Position Responsibilities As a Co-occurring Disorder Outpatient Counselor, you'll work with a caseload of 8 clients (4 for part-time) per day, conducting individual sessions and leading group sessions. Your schedule will incorporate time for session documentation and focus on mental health needs on certain days and substance use disorder treatment on others. The role offers flexibility with the potential for in-person, hybrid remote/in-person, or fully remote work based on client proximity. Key Responsibilities Conduct individual, family, and group counseling sessions following individualized treatment plans Collaborate in intake processes and initiate discharge procedures when necessary Ensure thorough documentation of sessions and adherence to treatment plans Provide clinical supervision if credentialed and requested Collaborate with the treatment team and refer clients to external services as needed Maintain confidentiality and compliance with professional standards and regulations Skills Required Proven counseling experience with healthcare management knowledge Strong understanding of psychotherapeutic principles and reimbursement processes Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills Ability to handle multiple tasks with compassion and teamwork Current valid license, certification, or registration in related healthcare field Education/Training/Qualifications Associate degree in counseling, psychology, social work, or relevant health field required 1-year experience in case management, mental health, or substance use disorder counseling Required Certification/License Must hold a valid license, certification, or approval to provide services in Maryland in one of the following disciplines: (List of applicable licenses and certifications) Physical Demands: Regular walking, occasional lifting of up to 25 pounds, and driving as required Working Conditions: Work may take place in office, client homes, or community settings, potentially exposing employees to contagious diseases or challenging situations Note: The job responsibilities outlined are indicative and subject to modification or expansion over time.
