HR Business Consultant Georgia-Remote
                                The role of the Staples HR Business Consultant (HRBC) is to perform advanced, specialized duties in designated human resource programs or section areas, act as internal consultant by analyzing and recommending solutions to human resource issues and align human resource priorities with US Stores. The HRBC will work primarily with line managers and become valued contributors by managing the delivery of our HR policies, execute business specific projects, and initiatives relating to people, and demonstration of leadership in human resources decisions, procedures and programs. The role will support a high performing culture that supports Staples USR's mission, vision and core values.
The HRBC will be given assignments and expected to develop methods and procedures. The HRBC will act as a consultant and provide support for store level management teams and associates by answering non routine requests for information on policy interpretation, providing advice and counsel on employee issues with emphasis on People management, practices and programs in support of the HR and business strategy.
The focus of this role is on transactional and execution activities that support the US Stores Retail directives. This person is recognized as an HR resource and subject matter expert.
Key Responsibilities:
 Performance Management
 Support a results-oriented culture through effective implementation and follow-up of performance management process and tools
 Consultant on performance improvement and performance management for line level supervisors and store associates
 Coaching and Developing Leaders  contribute to the business strategy by:
 Coaching Line Managers to effectively manage and improve the performance of their teams
 Advise Line Managers on conflict resolution by helping to identify root cause and advice and develop solutions
 Succession Planning
 Provide insights and support to the line level managers into entry level talent acquisition, associate development programs, performance management facilitation, leadership development to assist in building a talent pipeline to support long and short term strategic priorities
 Workforce Planning
 Recommend courses of action for staffing for high impact positions and initiatives
 Support to line level managers for placement of associates and data management for workforce restructuring
 Partner with Global Talent Management to deliver high quality training to enhance associate knowledge and leadership capabilities through the:
 Provide thought leadership and project support for various talent management initiatives and projects as needed.
 Present training sessions related to assigned programs or section areas as needed
 Associate engagement and development -
 Proactively advise leaders associate engagement strategies to balance the business and associate needs
 Partner with the appropriate COE to bring resolution to complex associate relations issues, conducting thorough and effective investigations as necessary if assigned
 Understand associate perspectives to promote satisfaction and ensure strategies are in place
 High performance culture activist  accelerate alignment of culture and strategy to support the company vision, mission, and values
 Demonstrate ability to influence multiple layers of management
 Demonstrate a collaborative approach while identifying and solving issues
 Create and maintain relationship with the Centers of Excellence to ensure seamless HR support to achieve business objectives, escalating issues or trends where appropriate
 Drive effective communications on new initiatives or assigned areas of expertise
 Proactively implement new programs across the business and apply and interpret new procedures and policies for the business
 Ensure continued self development of HR competencies and business acumen to effectively lead and influence to achieve company objectives
 Lead powerful change management integration: Identify, advocate, and integrate Human Resource talent solutions
 Demonstrate consulting and facilitation skills
Education Requirements:
 Preferred Bachelors degree in HR Management, Organizational Psychology, Business or related discipline
 PHR /SPHR certification preferred
Qualifications:
 A minimum 5 to 7 years of experience in a strategic Human Resources function, which includes supporting multiple levels of management in a fast-paced work environment
 Experience working in large corporate organization with a matrix structure
