Role Summary:
We are looking for a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) to serve as our Tax Operations Manager. In this key leadership role, you will oversee client engagements, execute tax strategies, and manage the operational aspects of the company. Your responsibilities will include meeting with clients, preparing and reviewing tax returns, creating standard operating procedures (SOPs), and hiring and managing staff as needed. You will be accountable for the overall performance of the tax company, ensuring both client satisfaction and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
Client Engagement: Meet with clients to understand their tax needs, provide guidance on tax strategies, and ensure high levels of satisfaction.
Tax Preparation and Review: Prepare and/or review individual and business tax returns to ensure accuracy, compliance, and optimal outcomes for clients.
Operations Management: Develop and implement SOPs to streamline processes and improve operational efficiency.
Team Leadership: Hire, train, and manage tax professionals to build a high-performing team that meets company objectives.
Compliance Oversight: Ensure all activities adhere to federal, state, and local tax regulations and laws.
Performance Accountability: Monitor and evaluate the overall performance of the tax company, identifying opportunities for improvement and driving growth initiatives.
Proactive Communication: Maintain clear and timely communication with clients and internal stakeholders regarding tax matters, updates, and deadlines.
Qualifications:
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in the United States (required).
- Proven leadership experience, including hiring and managing teams.
- Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local tax regulations.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with clients and team members.
- Proactive and results-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities.
