Job Overview We are actively seeking a dedicated and empathetic Case Manager/Patient Advocate to join our dynamic team in a remote capacity. Key Responsibilities • Serve as the primary point of contact for patients, guiding them through the intricate landscape of insurance, prior authorizations, and financial assistance. • Perform thorough benefit investigations and appeals, ensuring patients receive the necessary support for their medication needs. • Build and maintain trusting relationships with patients, healthcare providers, and other stakeholders through effective communication. • Proactively manage inbound calls and inquiries, triaging patients to appropriate resources as needed. • Provide personalized outreach to patients, offering clarity on their benefits and next steps in their care journey. • Facilitate care coordination efforts, including nurse education and connecting patients with peer support resources. • Maintain meticulous documentation of all case activities in compliance with business protocols. Required Skills • Exceptional organizational and detail-oriented mindset. • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written. • Ability to multitask while maintaining high levels of accuracy and efficiency. • Professional and courteous phone etiquette. • Self-awareness and emotional intelligence to navigate sensitive patient interactions. • Proficient in basic computer tasks. • A positive demeanor with an unwavering passion for patient advocacy. Qualifications • A Bachelor’s degree is strongly preferred, or equivalent experience in a relevant field. • Prior experience in customer service or the healthcare industry is advantageous but not mandatory. • Bilingual capabilities in English and Spanish or Chinese/Mandarin are a plus. • Flexibility to work an 8.5-hour shift within the hours of 8 AM and 11 PM, Monday through Friday.
