About the position The Data Scientist position at Ignite involves supporting the United States Air Force by utilizing advanced data science and analytics techniques to enhance mission planning and decision-making processes. The role requires expertise in data collection, predictive modeling, and effective communication of complex analytical results to stakeholders. Responsibilities ? Collect and process data from various Air Force systems, databases, and external sources. , ? Enhance data quality through cleaning, validation, and preprocessing techniques. , ? Implement methods to handle data discrepancies, missing values, and anomalies. , ? Develop predictive models and machine learning algorithms to identify patterns and insights that influence strategic decisions. , ? Apply advanced statistical and computational methodologies to support mission objectives. , ? Construct and manage key performance indicators, metrics, and dashboards for ongoing assessment of Air Force operations. , ? Develop detailed reports and dynamic presentations to share findings with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. , ? Design and build sophisticated visualization tools to simplify complex analytical results for strategic decision-making. , ? Collaborate with Air Force personnel, fellow data scientists, and external partners to align data science activities with organizational goals. , ? Deliver data-driven insights and recommendations to aid in strategic planning, resource allocation, and mission execution. , ? Keep abreast of the latest advancements in data science, machine learning, and analytics tools. , ? Engage in professional development to continually advance personal expertise and contribute to the organizational knowledge base. Requirements ? Active Top Secret Security Clearance. , ? Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or a closely related field. , ? Minimum of 4 years of experience in data science or a similar analytical role. , ? Expertise in programming languages such as Python, R, and SQL. , ? Proficient with advanced data visualization tools like Tableau, Power BI, and QlikView. , ? Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking capabilities. , ? Effective communication skills, capable of conveying complex information in an understandable manner. , ?
