Job Summary:

UP TO $10,000 SIGN ON BONUS FOR QUALIFIED CANDIDATES

In the ambulatory setting, the LPN cooperates with others to offer patients both direct and indirect care services. Supervised by a physician or a Registered Nurse (RN), the LPN tends to the medical needs of assigned patients and performs authorized tasks to fulfill patient requirements. Job Description

    Essential Functions:
  • Adheres to clinic standards in readying the examination and treatment areas.
  • Gets ready for patient care by engaging in pre-visit planning and setting up examination and treatment areas as per clinic standards.
  • Performs patient rooming processes that encompass checking vital signs, collecting data, and other essential components specific to the clinic environment.
  • Delivers medications correctly and documents the administration as per clinic policy and recognized guidelines.
  • Executes nursing procedures and treatments in accordance with the Scope of Responsibilities set forth by the nursing division and specific clinic protocols.
  • Illustrates the aptitude to accurately carry out and document assessments, apply clinical interventions, assess outcomes, and modify the care plan in collaboration with a registered nurse or healthcare provider.
  • Give out preprinted patient education resources as a reinforcement of the health education and discharge directions issued by the RN or provider, guiding patients to approach them with any concerns.
  • Executes standalone nurse appointments following the permitted scope of practice and supervision guidelines.
  • Aid in overseeing the inbox activities and fulfilling patient referral requests and pre-approval procedures as per the approved protocols and professional limitations.
  • Helps with and takes part in the initiation and coaching of clinical employees, in line with their scope of work and as instructed.
  • Shows a dedication to departmental advancement through participation in meetings, committees, and engaging in continuous education and training programs.
  • Validates the clarity, accuracy, and conciseness of documentation in the patient record as per outlined responsibilities.
  • Any other tasks as required by the assignment.

Additional Requirements

Required:

Education - Completion of a nursing education program that is approved by a board of nursing

Certification - Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) - South Dakota Board of Nursing

Preferred:

Experience - 1+ years of Healthcare Experience

Physical Requirements:

Very Heavy work - exerting over 25 pounds of force constantly (67-100% of the time), and/or more than 50 pounds frequently (34-66% of the time), and/or more than 100 pounds of force occassionally (up to 33% of the time), and/or more than 100 pounds of force seldomly to move objects. Possible exposure to radiation and frequent exposure to contaminated needles and infectious body substances. Requires the ability to work designated shift lengths (including 8 and 12 hours), which may include night shifts or occasional irregular hours.
