About the position
This position serves as a leader in patient care, utilizing the nursing process within the framework of the Nurse Practice Act and ANA Code for Nurses. The role involves delegating and directing team members, ensuring quality patient outcomes, and maintaining cultural sensitivity in interactions. The nurse will be accountable for their practice and support the strategic goals of the unit and department.
- Responsibilities
- Effectively uses the nursing process in the delivery of patient care. ,
- Assesses learning needs and implements teaching strategies appropriate for diverse patient needs. ,
- Communicates, delegates, and manages nursing team resources effectively. ,
- Serves as a leader and partner on the interdisciplinary team. ,
- Uses data and knowledge to evaluate and promote change for optimal outcomes. ,
- Enhances customer satisfaction and employee morale in nursing. ,
- Adapts behavior to respect patient privacy and communication styles. ,
- Performs other related duties as required.
- Requirements
- Registered nurse diploma required. ,
- Current registered nurse (RN) license in state of practice required. ,
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association required. ,
- Preferred: Associate or bachelor's degree in nursing. ,
- Preferred: Certification in clinical specialty area. ,
- Proficiency in using computers, software, and web-based applications. ,
- Effective verbal and written communication skills. ,
- Strong interpersonal skills. ,
- Good organizational and time management skills. ,
