Remote Life Skills Educator - Concord New Hampshire Area Join our innovative team dedicated to preparing students with disabilities for independent living and community participation through comprehensive virtual life skills programming. This specialized role focuses on functional academics, daily living skills, and community integration preparation. Position Focus Full-time opportunity encompassing 37.5 hours per week, serving students with intellectual disabilities, autism, and multiple disabilities who require intensive life skills instruction. Caseload includes 30-40 students across various age groups with emphasis on transition-age youth. Comprehensive Curriculum Areas Develop virtual life skills curricula including money management, cooking, household maintenance, and personal care Provide functional academics instruction with real-world application focus Implement virtual job training and career exploration programs Support community safety and navigation skills through virtual simulations Facilitate independent living preparation including apartment living and transportation training Coordinate virtual internships and work experience opportunities Support families in extending life skills instruction to home environments Innovative Virtual Delivery Utilize creative approaches to deliver hands-on life skills instruction through virtual platforms, including virtual reality simulations, interactive cooking demonstrations, budgeting software, and community resource exploration. Essential Credentials Master's degree in Special Education with life skills or transition specialization Current New Hampshire special education teaching certificate Minimum 2 years of experience with life skills or transition programming Knowledge of community resources and adult service systems Experience with virtual instruction delivery preferred Understanding of supported employment and independent living services Strong creativity and problem-solving abilities for virtual adaptations Excellent organizational and project management skills Community Partnerships Collaborate with vocational rehabilitation services, adult day programs, supported employment agencies, and independent living centers to create seamless transitions for students entering adult services.
