Title: Telecom War Room Manager (Remote – EST Preferred)
Location: Remote (Eastern Time Zone preferred; CST/MST also considered)
Type: Long-term, open-ended (~ 12+ Month) Contract
Pay: $52.88/hr (W2) with medical & 401k benefits offered + pay raise after 6 months
A leading telecommunications services firm is seeking a Telecom War Room Manager to support a high-impact program in the Eastern Pennsylvania market. This role is fully remote and ideal for a seasoned telecom professional who thrives in fast-paced environments and excels in managing cross-functional teams through critical deployment activities.
- Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the quality of client service, staffing utilization, billing, contract management, and overall project profitability
- Manage time-sensitive, service-affecting telecom equipment swaps for a major carrier
- Coordinate and track subcontractor field deployments from troubleshooting to completion
- Lead workflow within customer systems to manage quality tickets and resolve site issues
- Work directly with subcontractors for scheduling, updates, and progress reporting
- Supervise Construction Managers and Coordinators, ensuring construction safety and quality
- Conduct material take-offs and oversee procurement schedules
- Represent the company in client meetings, presentations, and public forums as needed
- Mentor junior staff and support business development activities, including proposal development
- Required Qualifications:
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
- 5+ years of experience in wireless telecommunications
- 3+ years of progressive project management experience
- Proven experience leading large, multidisciplinary teams
- Hands-on experience managing service-affecting equipment swaps for a major wireless carrier
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Outlook; strong general tech/computer skills
- Strong mechanical or technical troubleshooting skills (Telecom or related industries)
- Preferred:
- Technical or Engineering degree
- Established client relationships within the telecom industry
- Experience working with general contractors or in field-based telecom roles
- Additional Info:
- Schedule: Monday–Friday, flexible hours (starting as early as 6:30am EST if needed)
- Travel: None
- Drug Screen: 10-panel (no exceptions for marijuana, including medical use)
- Background Check: 10 years (includes DMV and employment verification)
