The Executive Director, Trade Strategy & Partnerships, is a highly visible role responsible for sourcing, structuring, and executing new business ventures to advance CVS Health’s financial and strategic goals at the functional and corporate level. This strategic innovator will lead a small team that is tasked with leveraging CVS Health’s size and scale to focus on new opportunities for reducing the costs of goods and making pharmaceuticals more accessible for CVS customers, clients, members, and patients across the CVS Health enterprise.
- Key Responsibilities
- Ensure all components of new Trade Strategy & Operations ventures are aligned with Enterprise Strategy and CVS Health initiatives.
- Source unique business venture deals to meet these strategic goals, prioritize opportunities by size and value and align all stakeholders and operational execution support.
- Sourcing and contracting responsibilities will include, but not limited to, cold calling potential partners/investors, defining and designing term sheets and crafting core deal documents.
- Required Qualifications
- 10 + years of experience in the healthcare arena
- Management Consulting, Investment Banking, Venture Capital, or Private Equity experience in the healthcare arena will be required
- Possess a strong understanding of business dynamics at the intersection of pharmaceutical, pharmacy, and payer counterparties.
- Must understand pharmaceutical industry and supply chain economics
- Demonstrated history of strategic and creative deal sourcing/closing
- Demonstrated experience forming and leading deal teams comprised of internal and external partners through strategic partnerships and joint ventures.
- Nimble identifier, manager, and navigator of internal and external stakeholders, ensuring venture portfolio alignment across CVS Health (e.g. Enterprise Strategy, Corporate Development and Health Ventures)
- Expert manager of internal and external subject matter experts (e.g. finance, legal, external advisors), engaging the right experts at the right time to drive timely deal closure

Pay Range
The Typical Pay Range For This Role Is
$131,500.00 - $303,195.00
This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above. This position also includes an award target in the company’s equity award program.
