- No evenings or weekends (Monday-Friday schedule)

- Must be fully available from June 2-August 25
- Set schedule of Monday-Friday from 8am-4:30pm (40 hours/week)
- Enthusiastically greet campers and guardians as they arrive and depart from camp and record attendance.
- Assist in the direction, supervision, and organization of campers in order to meet the intended camper outcomes.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of campers at all times.
- Participate in the teaching and progression of lessons and activities, including adapting to differing camper ages, abilities and group dynamics.
- Engage with campers during activities and games.
- Assist with the setup and cleanup of camp activities and events.
- Address and resolve any camper issues or conflicts in a positive and constructive manner.
- Escalate camper issues or conflicts as appropriate.
- Provide guardians appropriate feedback and information as needed for their campers to have a successful camp experience
- Provide support in summer camp programming, including post camp wrap-up.
- Communicate in a positive and professional manner with campers, guardians, other employees, and volunteers.
- Promote a culture of diversity, equity, and inclusion to make AHS a welcoming environment for all.
- Clock in and out of shifts using ADP.
- Monitor AHS email and other messaging software.
- Regular, predictable attendance, punctuality, and availability to work during operational hours.
- Attend and participate in regular team meetings and one-on-one meetings with direct leader and/or on-site Humane Educators.
- May be required to work at a different site based on department needs.
- May be required to attend occasional off-site meetings and events.
- Environment can be dirty, wet, warm, and humid.
- Exposure to zoonotic diseases and pests such as fleas and ticks.
- Possibility of being bitten or scratched.
- Exposure to unpleasant odors, chemicals, and noises, including barking.
- May be exposed to extreme weather conditions including but not limited to cold, heat, rain, and snow when outside.
- Experience working with youth in grades 3-10 preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and attention to detail.
- Strong administrative and process management skills.
- Strong multi-tasking and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient with computers, specifically a working knowledge of Microsoft products.
- Prolonged sitting, standing, and walking.
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 20 lbs.
- Must be comfortable with the emotional aspect of work in an animal shelter environment, including the use of humane euthanasia.
