This role goes beyond traditional service management — in addition to overseeing day-to-day operations and supporting Technicians, the successful candidate will have the opportunity to sell and manage project work. - Base Salary Range: $110,000.00 - $120,000.00 based on experience, with additional bonus incentives

- Review all current agreements during renewal, including equipment lists, terms and conditions, and all other verbiage.
- Ensure the Dispatcher, Accounting, Service Coordinator and Technicians are aware of the agreement verbiage and receive adequate training to satisfy the agreement’s terms and conditions.
- Ensure the Technicians are trained to write detailed notes on all work orders
- Ensure the Dispatcher is trained to review the detailed work order notes and ask Technicians for clarification when necessary
- Recruit and hire HVAC Service Technicians and Admin support staff
- Train Service Technicians develop their skill sets that will meet and exceed customer expectations.
- Track Service Technician’s certifications and special licensing
- Develop and monitor service department budget and pricing to Maintain planned gross profit goals
- Provide annual review and feedback to the Service Technicians for performance, achievement and improvement using individual score cards
- Conduct a scope of work meeting with the service team prior to starting work
- Ensure all equipment, materials, and subcontracts are ordered and delivered prior to starting work
- Ensure subcontractors are properly vetted and using proper insurance coverage
- Determine field labour requirements for each project and submit any recommend changes
- Ensure current processes are followed by all service staff and strict weekly and monthly timelines are met consistently and accurately
- Address customer complaints within 24 hours
- Maintain the service vehicle fleet, including vehicle inspections, repairs and licensing
- Perform spot checks on all contracts and advise the General Manager of findings
- Coordinate with dispatcher which service technicians to assign work for new contracts and projects
- Conduct the start-up on all new agreements and train customers on the new equipment
- Attend all Company required training
- Lead and facilitate regular safety meetings with Service Technicians
- Actively identify and pursue opportunities for project work within existing and new accounts. This includes quoting, coordinating, and closing HVAC project work in collaboration with customers and internal teams.
- Perform other responsibilities as required
- Proficient computer skills with the Microsoft Office Suite
- The position requires a results-oriented individual with a focus on delivering exceptional customer service
- Excellent interpersonal communication with team members and clients is essential
- Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to recognize and pursue revenue opportunities through service-to-project upselling
- 5 years’ experience troubleshooting and repairing HVAC equipment
- Master Mechanical License is considered an asset
- Previous experience managing others
- Strong understanding of HVAC systems from both a technical and business development perspective is an asset
- Travel will be required
Expected salary: $110000 - 120000 per year
