- Teach management information systems courses with a strong business focus, applying information systems and technology management concepts to aviation and other industries.
 - Act as a thought leader in information systems management within the department and the college while keeping appraised of notable developments such as AI and cybersecurity.
 - Develop, maintain, and assess courses, particularly those related to Information Systems.
 - Develop and update curricula as needed.
 - Demonstrate a strong commitment to teaching, staying current in the profession, and providing service to the department, college, university, and profession.
 - Limited travel for meetings and conferences may be required.

- A doctorate from a regionally accredited institution is required. Preferred candidates will have significant aviation industry experience in managing information systems, such as aviation software development, IT infrastructure, data analytics, artificial intelligence, or cybersecurity in aviation contexts.
 - The candidate should show excellence in teaching and demonstrate a strong research record/potential through publications and/or pipeline that would include working papers or papers under review.
 - Candidates must also have excellent teaching evaluations in the area of management information systems, information technology, or other related fields.
 - Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, COMPTIA, or ITIL are preferred.
 - Experience teaching web-based courses, participation in university committees or related community organizations, participation in state/national professional organizations, significant industry experience, and past successful professional experiences with groups from diverse backgrounds.
