The position will deliver software products that will support the overall Security Services roadmaps, which will include requirements grooming, working with partner engineering teams to develop the solutions, testing and validation, operational handover processes, and ongoing technical leadership. This position will be a key member of our data pipeline / engineering team. The Comcast Cyber Security organization relies on vast event driven data pipelines to monitor, detect, and investigate cyber security threats and incidents.The developer should have a deep technical understanding of application, host, cloud and network security tools and techniques, must be familiar with security industry standards and best practices, and must be able to effectively work with development, engineering and operational counterparts, across a broad and deeply technical environment in all security areas common within an IP Carrier Services Provider industry.The position is highly collaborative across a variety of teams, both technical and non-technical, and will require a strong ability to build effective, productive relationships in order to succeed.Job DescriptionCore Responsibilities:Build high-volume event collection, data processing and storage systems which enable other teams to build more data driven applications and processesDevelop Security Event Monitoring strategies leveraging standard “baseline” methodologies and advanced correlation techniques with OSINT, related systems and applications, and other data sources to enhance overall security posture and service to our customers.Establish effective measurement and reporting methodologies to manage performance and effectiveness of key security programs through the development and deployment of dynamic dashboards and reports.Analyze new and existing technologies, processes, and services to build new services and solutions to deliver to business and residential customers.Partner with product teams to provide technical leadership and guidance.Skills and QualificationsMust have strong verbal and written communication skills with an ability to develop a strong rapport across a variety of technical and non-technical teams.Experience working with streaming platformsExperience working with Python or Rust, SQL, Docker/Kubernetes.Experience working with SIEM and analytic platforms like Splunk, Elastic, LogRhythm, and DatabricksKnowledge of networking tools like netflow, packet capture, IDS/IPS, Bro/Zeek, and other security related tools.Experience working with Linux CLI and shell scripting.What We RequireBachelor’s degree or equivalent, preferably in engineering or computer science4+ years of related experience.About Our Perks & Benefits:We are determined to create an environment where our employees feel valued, understand our business goals, and are motivated.Here's a look at just some of the perks and benefits we make available to our US-based employees:
