Then we help them build identity in the field, and tap into their own agency and initiative as they build technical and leadership skills. AI4ALL has received funding from Melinda Gates/Pivotal Ventures, Prudential Financial, Accenture, General Motors, and SoftBank among others and has been featured in the New York Times, TIME, CNN, The Washington Post, USA Today, and The Atlantic.THE OPPORTUNITYWe are looking for an Instruction Manager to join our Programs team to ensure consistent, high-quality instructional delivery across our programs. This new role will manage seasonal staff such as Instructors and Student Coordinators, allowing the Curriculum Manager to focus on education strategy and curriculum development.As part of the Programs team, the Instruction Manager will design and implement scalable systems to recruit, onboard, and coach Instructors while optimizing classroom operations to support student success. The role collaborates closely with curriculum, program, and evaluation teammates to align instruction with AI4ALL’s pedagogical values, including active learning, universal design for learning, and inclusive representation.This is an exciting opportunity for someone passionate about education, equity, and creating meaningful learning experiences for students from historically excluded backgrounds in AI.WHAT YOU’LL DO
Specifically the Instruction Manager will:Instructor & Student Coordinator Management & Support:
- Supervise and support 11–15 seasonal Instructors and 8–12 Student Coordinators (SCs), using a tiered leadership structure (e.g., Lead Instructors and Lead SCs)
- Uphold instructional fidelity by reinforcing pedagogical best practices, including AI4ALL’s education building blocks (e.g., active learning, diverse role models, UDL)
- Lead regular evaluation, coaching, and feedback cycles for instructional staff
- Foster a sense of community and shared purpose across instructional team members
- Model and promote AI4ALL’s CARE values (Commitment, Advocacy, Respect, and Empowerment) in all aspects of team leadership
- Coordinate instructional team debriefs and reflection sessions
- Monitor instructional delivery and adjust support strategies to ensure alignment with evolving program needs and classroom realities
- Define and document responsibilities for Student Coordinators, including logistics like Zoom setup, class recordings, and follow-up with students
- Manage student rosters, ensuring accurate tracking of participation, progress, and engagement
- Develop oversight systems for SCs to support timely, consistent student support
- Set up and maintain instructional logistics, including Zoom accounts and calendar invites
- Partner with the Curriculum Manager to align instruction with evolving curriculum, including real-world applications and emerging trends in AI
- Collaborate with the Programs Team to address student retention and completion challenges
- Coordinate with university partners and industry mentors to enhance classroom learning
- Design and deliver standardized onboarding, training, and professional development for Instructors and Student Coordinators
- Participate in cross-functional team efforts and contribute to organizational learning
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, AI, Education, or a related field—or equivalent experience
- 2+ years of experience managing instructors, educators, or learning facilitators
- Experience designing and leading instructor training or professional development
- Strong knowledge of AI, machine learning concepts, and the evolving AI job landscape
- Demonstrated leadership, organization, and communication skills
- Ability to foster inclusive, engaging, and student-centered learning environments
- Experience teaching students from historically excluded backgrounds
- Familiarity with learning management systems (LMS) and student engagement analytics
- Experience implementing scalable oversight structures (e.g., Lead Instructor models)
- A target starting salary of $87,500-$100,000 per year. To determine starting pay, we consider multiple job-related factors including a candidate’s skills, education and experience, market demand, business needs, and internal parity.

- The Programs team is highly collaborative, and we’d love for this position to preferably be based out of the New York City metro area, although we are willing to consider applicants with strong qualifications in another location.
- AI4ALL organizes up to two in-person team retreats per year and all employees are expected to attend. This may require travel to New York City, San Francisco, and other locations outside of your usual work location.
- Work is performed both independently and collaboratively. Work is performed on a computer, requires almost constant use of a keyboard, mouse, or other pointing device and may be performed sitting or standing.
Expected salary: $87500 - 100000 per year
