- Relationship Management: Advise the Area Manager on maintaining effective relationships with key personnel from member and non-member airlines, airports, and other stakeholders. Assist in identifying key issues to improve intelligence gathering and support advocacy efforts for industry betterment.
- Campaign Execution: Implement divisional campaigns to support industry initiatives.
- Monitoring and Reporting: Monitor and report on regulatory and other relevant matters to the Area Manager and relevant departments in the Regional Office, ensuring members' interests are prioritized.
- Promotion of Aviation: Collaborate with the Regional Office and Regional Economist to promote the social and economic value of aviation at all levels.
- Advisory Role: Serve as an advisor to the Area Manager and senior management at the regional level on all industry matters within the country or cluster.
- Operational Support: Assist in executing the operational plan in alignment with the Americas Strategic Plan, coordinating with other IATA departments and countries as needed.
- Additional Duties: Perform other duties as assigned by the manager or supervisor.
- Commercial support: Provide the commercial division with qualified leads and support to meet commercial targets.
- Education: College degree in business administration, economics, or a related discipline.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in the aviation and/or transport industry. An aviation industry background is an asset.
- Skills: Experience working in a multinational, multicultural environment is advantageous. Proficiency in IT skills, especially the MS suite, is required.
- Communication: Excellent oral and written communication skills in English. Proficiency in Spanish is a plus.
- Work Environment: This is not a remote position; the successful candidate will be required to work three days from the office.
