The AE will identify and develop new customer business for Ryder Fuel Services (RFS) in collaboration with RFS management. The AE will facilitate research and prospecting of new customers, develop an industry network, and educate/develop prospects' value perception of RFS services. The AE will support existing customer service and marketing efforts and understand competitive influences and risks.Essential Functions
- Sales Activity – Represent spectrum of RFS services. Collaborate with RFS management,accounting, and operations to facilitate contracts and close deals that support RFS growth and revenue targets. Interface with internal Ryder Sales Teams to identify synergies to expand current customer services.
- Customer Experience – Work with RFS team to increase existing customer supplemental sales opportunities. Create supportive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Leverage all resources to expand new opportunities, i.e., Fuel Services, Building Maintenance, Finance, etc. Support existing customer relationships, reporting, and feedback management, based on RFS Ops customer teams’ needs. Work with RFS Team to on-board accounts. Ensure that new customer orientation is completed.
- Business Development – In collaboration with RFS management, identify prospects and their needs. Once identified, additionally develop understanding of customer requirements and value components through value-based proposal preparation. Develop sales activity plan sufficient to meet and exceed required revenue targets. Respond pro-actively to leads and inquiries. Maintain prospecting message alignment with RFS operations.
- Administrative Support – Maintain account profile information on all prospect solicitations. Facilitate marketing efforts and educational opportunities as applicable to support RFS presence within the marketplace. Familiarize RFS Team with sales in progress and their potential impact on operations. Administrative functions necessary to support account development.
- Continuous Improvement – Evaluate effectiveness of sales skills/approach, enhance industry knowledge, and identify business and/or personal growth needs.
- Understand how RFS solutions can be customized to meet customer needs.
- Adhere to Ryder’s Policies and Procedures including Travel and Expense Policy.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

- 3 years or more in Demonstrated experience in downstream fueling or facilities operations, support, maintenance, and compliance requirements, Required
- 2 years or more in Prior sales experience, responsibilities and/or equivalent related experience supporting customer experience, customer voice, upselling, customer care, resolving stakeholder conflict, relationship-building, etc., Preferred
- Understanding of RFS's product offerings and financial drivers. Represent the full spectrum of RFS's services to new and potential customers Intermediate, Required
