You will report to the West Region Aviation Leader. - Market assigned accounts including developing renewal strategies, reviewing and advising of market conditions, coverage options, assessing risk transfer options and making recommendations regarding coverages, carriers, and services
- Directly advise clientele on risk related matters for their operations, contractual transfers, insurance and non-insurance risk transfers, risk control and operations consulting
- Maintain relationships with broad insurance community underwriters and stakeholders
- Manage and budget assigned renewal book maximized Aon income and seek penetration opportunities
- Meet assigned account portfolios income and new business goals. Integrate in new business production resources to meet goals. Work on assigned new business projects and opportunities
- Develop and stay current on market conditions through strategic involvement in aviation industry functions such as NBAA, HAI, and ACI in accordance with agreed plans and travel budgets as set with unit manager
- Manage agreed expense budget
- Stay in sync with Aon processes, disclosure requirements, maintenance of license requirements (resident, non-resident, surplus lines) as appropriate to assigned book.
- Provide input and information for benchmarking, market reviews, coverage analysis and other projects as assigned by national and local practice
- Integrate broad knowledge of Aon capabilities and various risk disciplines outside of the aviation practice and seek penetration and expansion opportunities to meet expansion goals
- Manage day-to-day service and policy management requirements of assigned book and related team service requirements. May involve back up support and service support on other accounts in the region or national practice.
- Attention to detail, ability to multi-task, outstanding organizational skills, ability to make and communicate difficult decisions.
- Minimum of 5+ years of aviation insurance brokerage and/or underwriting experience
- Solid understanding of carrier underwriting practices & processes.
- Proven leadership skills in working with teams and ability to work with clients and to successfully exceed client expectations.
- Validated client facing skills including effective presentations & communications.
- Shown organization and ability to work with others.
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively at various levels.
- Successfully operates in a fast-paced driven environment that requires the ability to handle several tasks simultaneously.
- Must obtain a P&C license within first 60 days of hire.
Expected salary: $140000 per year
