They will partner closely with key stakeholders across field sales, investment, product management, and marketing in the distribution of alternative investment solutions to retail/HNW advisors and key centers of influence within the Western Sales Region. This individual will leverage their alternative investments expertise and experience in executing critical educational and sales initiatives, aimed at driving adoption of Lincoln's alternatives solutions among wealth management advisors.What you'll be doing
- Develop deep understanding of Lincoln Financial's Alternatives platform and effectively represent individual solutions, to wealth management firms, advisors and clients, in partnership with Sales team.
- Provide subject matter expertise with Alternatives and collaborate with Sales team in organizing and executing fund roadshows and other field engagement routines, with prescribed follow-up activities to drive sales results.
- Partner with investment, product and distribution teams, along with other key stakeholders, to promote and distribute a wide range of strategies and structures for retail/HNW advisors.
- Support the development and rationalization of a variety of different types of Alternative Investment marketing collateral and branding initiatives (e.g., presentation decks, educational materials, thought leadership/thematic content).
- Stay abreast of industry trends, competitive landscape and investor preferences to support product development and positioning in various educational forums, conferences, and other events.
- Develops and maintains a more complex sales plan to increase sales revenue and market share within alternative investments.
- Increases penetration in territory of by optimizing and growing relationships in partnership with existing field wholesale team to drive sales at targeted firms.
- Cultivates, directs, and maintains client relationships within assigned territory's firms.
- Increases financial advisors' awareness and drives adoption of Lincoln's alternative investments products and services within their assigned territory.
- Partners with Lincoln's wholesale team to Develop, direct, and execute a sales plan to increase/gain opportunities to introduce Lincoln's private funds management and other resources to targeted advisors within their assigned territory.
- Develops a comprehensive understanding of existing/targeted firms/advisors including targeted market segments, how they operate, and/or value proposition(s) and is known by them.
- Works effectively to support growth of Lincoln's alternative investment offerings to maximize and capitalize on the opportunities to cross sell and penetrate new and existing financial advisors.
- Conducts firm/advisor meetings to achieve sales targets. (e.g. due diligence meetings, one-on-one meetings, sponsorship and speaking opportunities).
- Identifies and communicates any potential conflicts regarding Lincoln's alternative investments
- Adhere to LFDs Culture of Compliance. Comply with LFDs policies and procedures.
- 3-5+ years experience in alternatives distribution that aligns with the specific responsibilities for this position.
- FINRA Series 7 and 63 License
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills, identifying the appropriate resources and tools to drive solutions.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to adapt quickly in a changing work environment
- MBA/CFA/CAIA
- FINRA Series 24
