This individual contributor technical resource will have Programmer and Developer expertise and accomplish the following scope of work: develop and deploy tool changes and improvements as requested by the tool system administrator and support day-to-day tool support as needed. This role will also include administrative support and customer interaction.Roles and ResponsibilitiesThe Technical Resource will provide support in the following areas:
- Develop and deploy enterprise tool changes and improvements as requested by the system lead
- Develop test methods to ensure adequacy and correctness of changes prior to implementation
- Develop test schemes that include user testing
- Support day to day support as needed
- Review requests for new/add-on features and collaborate with the system lead to address business need, urgency, schedule/timing
- Participate in the development of tool improvement planning/scheduling.
- The Technical resource will partner cross functionally as applicable as part of assessing and implementing changes.
- Assist in decision-making that impacts the success of day-to-day operations.
- Support customer interactions on tool operational issues.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- High School Diploma required; associate degree or bachelor’s degree preferred
- Minimum of 5 years of industry experience in Java, Oracle, JBOSS, Linus application programming and user interfaces or equivalent experience
- US Citizen due to ITAR and customer requirements
- Solid customer service and communication/presentation skills.
- Technical expertise and experience in the following areas is needed to perform job duties:
- Knowledge of data structures, object-oriented design, algorithms, exception handling, and troubleshooting
- Experience with Java application/development APIs and frameworks that run on JBOSS on Linux and/or Unix host
- Ability to identify and make changes/improvements with a knowledge of Linux scripts
- Experience with Oracle database design to support data warehousing and web-based applications
- Experience with RESTful (Represent State Transfer) web services and design
- Experience converting legacy Java applications to utilize more modern technologies a plus.
- Experience remediating security vulnerabilities in Java web applications
- Experience with cloud-based servers/databases, particularly Azure/Microsoft
- Good problem-solving capability that includes creative solution development
- Change agent, constantly challenging conventional thinking, approach and methodology
- Requires a high degree of initiative and accuracy; ability to test proposed system changes
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills coupled with a customer mindset
