- Uses critical thinking to analyze, identify, and develop data, trends, reports, and resources that improve delivery of services. Works with other key areas to continually develop process enhancements.
 - Maintains knowledge on current and emerging developments/trends for assigned area(s) of responsibility, assesses the impact, and collaborates with management to incorporate new trends and developments in current and future solutions.
 - Manages and enhances organizational initiatives by positively influencing and supporting change management and/or departmental/enterprise initiatives within assigned area(s) of responsibility.
 - Establishes and implements individual and team priorities, performance goals and objectives to ensure completion of responsibility for their assigned area(s) of responsibility.
 - Provides training and development opportunities, including stretch assignments, for team members and gives honest and open feedback to aid in the development of talent.
 - Manages and evaluates individual/team performance and takes appropriate action to meet and/or exceed performance standards for assigned area(s) of responsibility.
 - Identifies and recommends process improvements that create efficiencies or improve quality across for their assigned area(s) of responsibility.
 - Serves as a resource to team members and internal/external stakeholders on more complex assignments/projects for their assigned area(s) of responsibility.
 - Manages assigned area(s) of responsibility to ensure workloads are appropriately balanced among team members.
 - Ensures that top talent is hired and retained for their assigned area(s) of responsibility.
 - Builds organizational capability within their assigned area(s) of responsibility.
 - Ensures prompt and effective customer support and escalation to appropriate stakeholders including but not limited to Sales and Customer Support.
 - Provides oversight to assure team members work products and interactions meet defined quality indicators.
 - Supports attainment and maintenance of appropriate professional certifications.
 - Manages coordination of external clinical vendor services (peer reviews, IMEs, FCEs) as needed.
 - Serves as a resource to team members and internal/external stakeholders on more complex assignments/projects for their assigned area(s) of responsibility.
 - Establishes and maintains a positive work environment.
 - Performs other duties as required.
 
- Minimum of 5 years of disability claims experience
 - Current Registered Nurse license or Licensure in Clinical psychology or Social Work
 - 4 Year/Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience (4 years of experience in lieu of Bachelor's) - Minimum Required
 - Previous leadership experience including staff development, continuous improvement, fostering DEI culture, decision-making, and related skills and abilities.
 - Ability to read, analyze and interpret both internal and external documents such as general media/publications, professional journals, technical procedures, governmental regulations, policies, proposals, and standard operating procedures.
 - Confident, comfortable communicator with strong written and verbal communication skills.
