PPL is seeking a Career Specialist to support participants and graduates of our Career Pathways programs. In this role, you’ll provide personalized job placement, career coaching, and long-term support to help individuals secure employment and advance in their careers. - Provide one-on-one job placement support to a caseload of 50–75 participants.
- Coach participants on resume writing, interviewing, and job search strategies.
- Facilitate in-person and virtual workshops to build job readiness skills.
- Partner with financial coaches to support participants’ financial goals.
- Connect graduates with employment and career advancement opportunities.
- Maintain accurate case notes and track outcomes in databases.
- Deliver at least 12 months of retention support to program graduates.
- Build and maintain relationships with employer partners to secure job placements and internships.
- Support curriculum development and coordinate guest speakers and schedules.
- This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.
- 1–2 years of experience in workforce development, human services, or a related field.
- BA/BS in Human Services, Sociology, Social Work, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Strong knowledge of local labor market trends and community resources.
- Excellent communication, time management, and documentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Zoom, Teams, and online databases.
- Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and a good driving record.
