Technical Cost Management (TCM) applies its unique and powerful combination of analytical and technical skills to increase RMS revenue and profit growth. TCM integrates and synthesizes data from diverse sources to drive extraordinary business results. TCM exists to change the cost / value curve at RMS.THE WORKIn this role you will

1. Find relevant engineering and programmatic data and use it to develop and manage detailed cost estimates for various projects ranging from detail parts to entire systems

2. Provide guidance on cost engineering best practices to program managers and other internal stakeholders

3. Support the development of negotiation positions and support Supply Chain in discussions with suppliers

4. Identify and implement improvement opportunities in a collaborative team environment

5. Use cost model outputs to ensure program decision makers are able to make informed decisions

6. Write documentation that explains your models, consistently document process, and create audience-appropriate presentationsWHO YOU ARE

We are seeking individuals with:- Strong written & verbal communication skills

- Basic systems thinking and understanding of how systems work together

- Advanced engineering or systems thinking skills

- Ability to understand various types of engineering documents and find embedded technical data

- Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines

- Technical interest and aptitude for learning new software and technologies

- Familiarity with accounting and business principles

- Basic understanding of supply chain processes

- Basic understanding of manufacturing processesBasic Qualifications- Bachelors or Masters Degree in Chemistry, Aeronautical, Electrical and Mechanical Engineering, Economics or related discipline- Proficiency in MS Windows and OfficeDesired skills- Experience using SEER or TruePlanning to create cost models

- Experience implementing Design-to-Cost processes and practices

- Experience using Creo, Catia or other CAD software to identify technical data for use in cost modeling

- Familiarity with Sikorsky products
