Gather and refine broad business requirements from Morningstar commercial products into concrete implementation plans with clear resource estimates to aid with enterprise-level prioritization (15%). Design and lead the end-to-end implementation of new data solutions by providing detailed specifications based on sound financial research as well as commercial request for technical team implementation (15%). Document the business data flow and managing the upstream/downstream dependencies during the development process (30%). Conduct QA testing the end output to ensure the quality along 10 different quality dimensions (5%). Serve as the voice for Managed Investment Data team, the largest data team at Morningstar, in conversations regarding developments of new data platforms, and the governance of Morningstar data (5%). Educate Managed Investment Data team members globally to ensure organizational alignment regarding implementation of datasets distributed via new data platforms and serve as consultants to new data initiatives globally (30%).Job Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Economics, or a related analytical field or foreign equivalent and 3 years of relevant experience working with financial data in the position of Associate Data Research Analyst, Data Research Analyst, Senior Data Research Analyst, Data Content Researcher, or a related position. This position also requires: experience with SQL and Python; experience with Amazon Web Services technologies; experience with financial data modeling; data storage design and expertise; experience with Data ETL (extract, transform, load) design; experience with simplifying technical concepts and teach to non-technical audience; experience with technical product management; and experience with agile development framework.Must possess unrestricted right to work in the U.S. in this positionBase Salary Compensation: $112,814Morningstar is an equal opportunity employer."#LI-DNI"Compensation and BenefitsAt Morningstar we believe people are at their best when they are at their healthiest.
