Study Abroad has a mandate to expand student participation and to integrate study abroad into the UNT curriculum. We aim to develop new opportunities to meet the unique needs of the UNT community and increase student access to global educational experiences.Position OverviewThe Faculty-Led Programs Support Specialist plays a key role in advancing global learning by supporting the development, coordination, and administration of faculty-led study abroad programs at the University of North Texas. This position is responsible for ensuring the smooth execution of logistical and administrative processes related to program planning, faculty travel, course creation, student registration, billing, and financial aid adjustments.The Specialist will serve as a primary resource for faculty and students, providing advisory support and ensuring compliance with university and federal policies. A successful candidate will contribute to program marketing initiatives, facilitate informative presentations, and support promotional events designed to increase student participation in study abroad opportunities. This position also serves as a certified U.S. Passport Acceptance Agent.Minimum QualificationsAssociate's Degree and two years' of office administration experience; or any equivalentcombination of education, training and experience.Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

 - Be unable to access birth or identity documents. Printing, amending, or issuance functions, including performing duties on different days or hours.
 
- Not presently on parole or probation related to any Federal, State, or local convictions.
 - Not presently under indictment for a Federal, State, or local felony, or a misdemeanor related to breach of trust or moral turpitude
 - Free of any Federal, State, or local felony convictions.

- Coordinates administrative processes in each phase of the faculty-led program lifecycle. Handles academic coordination such as course creation and course registration. Initiates and monitors student program fee billing and refunds. Provides the Financial Aid and Scholarships Office with program specific cost of attendance information. Collaborates with stakeholders across UNT to improve and streamline administrative workflows. Assists with official office communications related to faculty-led program processes with all students, faculty, and staff.
 - Supports faculty in understanding and following university processes related to study abroad program implementation. Initiates and oversees faculty travel arrangements in collaboration with university systems and departments.
 - Conducts information sessions, financial aid workshops, and promotional presentations to educate and engage prospective participants. Provides guidance to students on resources, policies, and procedures. Assists with responding to student requests for information through Terra Dotta, email, and in person.
 - Maintains up-to-date records using appropriate systems and software including Terra Dotta, EIS, Concur, Cognos, and Excel.
 - Serves as a backup U.S. Passport Acceptance Agent in accordance with Department of State regulations.
