The Account Manager will be responsible for fostering relationships across all areas of the organization, with a deep focus on beverage. This role involves positioning and promoting Kerry's Taste and Sustainable Nutrition product portfolio and identifying key client challenges that can be solved with Kerry's solutions.Key responsibilities
- Establish and maintain Kerry as a trusted partner to strategic accounts and key decision-makers.
- Drive new revenue and margin growth across Kerry's growing portfolio while maintaining and defending current business.
- Achieve sales goals across core pillars and all technologies.
- Identify, establish, and track a dynamic and growing pipeline of opportunities using relevant internal tools (Salesforce, EPM, etc.).
- Lead the progression of key customer projects by ensuring effective communication between the customer and relevant internal cross-functional teams.
- Manage and negotiate financial and commercial terms and agreements in accordance with Kerry policy.
- Participate in the development of annual sales budget targets and strategic account reviews.
- Approximately 65% travel for business meetings and customer visits, primarily within the U.S., with some international travel.
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution in Business, Communications, Food Science, Chemistry, or related discipline.
- 7+ years of progressively responsible experience in related Sales, technical, or R&D roles within an ingredient, taste, beverage, and/or nutrition/wellness company.
- Proven experience in selling ingredients into food or beverage CPG companies; experience with multinational large CPGs is a plus.
- Strong communication skills to work across the customer's product development, strategic sourcing, procurement, marketing, and innovation teams.
- Technical understanding of beverage applications and/or taste/flavors as ingredients.
- Excellent negotiation skills and effective interpersonal skills to work with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to manage multiple, complex priorities within demanding timeframes.
- Experience with CRM systems (Salesforce.com) and Microsoft Suite tools
