Overview:EagleView, the leader in aerial imagery, is hiring a Capture System Technician II in Flight Support. Capture System Technician II: This role is tasked with ensuring capture assets are maintained and fit for continual operation. The candidate is expected to work independently in the field and on resolving camera equipment troubleshooting calls. A successful CST2 candidate will be willing to travel extensively and comes to the job with strong mechanical and technical experience. Responsibilities:
  • Serve as the primary support agent for maintaining survey asset readiness, ensuring optimal performance of flight systems.
  • Independently travel to field locations to modify, troubleshoot, and maintain flight rigs, ensuring operational efficiency.
  • Provide technical support by answering, logging, and escalating flight rig issues from pilots—resolving concerns through to completion.
  • Assist in the fabrication, testing, and enhancement of flight rig hardware, contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Train pilots on the operation of EV flight rigs, effectively communicating hardware and software usage, installation procedures, and troubleshooting techniques.
  • Create and maintain flight rig configuration files, ensuring system integrity and proper functionality.
  • Coordinate and execute system software updates independently, verifying implementation success.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment for equipment storage and operational run-ups.
  • Oversee project data management, tracking software updates, troubleshooting documentation, and accurate data entry.
  • Contribute to documentation updates and process improvements related to flight systems, pilots, and operational procedures.
  • Generate, audit, and analyze reports to track inventory levels, project progress, and workload distribution.
  • Travel frequently—often on short notice—to remote locations in support of EagleView systems, ensuring timely technical assistance.
  • Provide scheduled on-call support for flight systems, including occasional evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned, adapting to evolving technical and operational needs. Qualifications:
  • Proficiency in installing, configuring, and troubleshooting computer hardware and software in technical environments.
  • Strong ability to communicate and resolve technical issues remotely with pilots and suppliers, providing clear and effective troubleshooting guidance.
  • Advanced mechanical skills, including expertise in hand and power tools, light metal fabrication, and foundational electrical system knowledge.
  • Willingness and ability to travel 30%-50% of the time, with heavier travel periods occurring seasonally.
  • Capability to independently lift up to 50 lbs., ensuring safe handling of equipment.
  • Valid USA Driver's License.
Preferred Experience:
  • Previous experience in a technical or mechanical role related to aviation, photography, hardware/software troubleshooting, machining, mechanics, GIS, or software development.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Windows operating systems and basic Linux command line functions.
  • College degree or equivalent practical experience in a relevant field.
  • Technical or mechanical certifications/training.
