Job description: GENERAL SUMMARYThe Senior Accounting Analyst, General Accounting will be relied upon to use discretion and independent judgement daily to perform accounting duties and analysis in the general ledger area in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPUnder the general supervision of the Manager, General Accounting, the Senior Accounting Analyst, General Accounting is responsible for managing various complex PTG balance sheet and income statement accounts and analyzing the data. The Senior Accounting Analyst will have frequent contact with associates at all levels and departments throughout the organization and management team.DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIESA. Analyze financial data, perform reconciliations, prepare complex data for recording in addition to month-end close activities, including journal entries.B. Perform all accounting for various balance sheet and income statement accounts.C. Prepare supporting schedules and monthly account reconciliations.D. Analyze contractual documents for proper accounting treatment.E. Work closely with the Financial Reporting & Analysis Team with various reporting for inclusion in the Monthly Management Report. Assist with budgeting and forecasting as required.F. Provide detail for fiscal year audit, annual report and information required for federal, state and foreign tax returns.G. Maintain and update Lease Accounting and other FASB regulations.H. Prepare and review TREM and various other product categories including our consulting business.I. Provide guidance to other staff, participate and may lead projects related to system implementation or process improvement.J. Maintain and update system documentation and training materials.K. Assist with the fiscal year audit.L. Act as a point of contact between accounting and other departments, addressing inquiries and providing financial expertise.M. Participate in special projects as deemed necessary by Manager.QUALIFICATIONS


  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Business required. CPA is a plus.



  • 6+ years of progressive work experience in accounting.



  • Strong analytical skills. Ability to analyze complex data and identify trends.



  • Possess a strong understanding of financial processes i.e., reconciliations, close, consolidations and reporting.



  • Contemplative and proactive approach in monitoring, evaluating and recommending improvements related to accounting procedures.



  • Ability to identify and resolve accounting issues.



  • Aspiration to be involved in all aspects of accounting to learn and improve skills.



  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.



  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating initiative and problem-solving skills



  • Proficient with accounting software and spreadsheets. Advanced skills with Excel.



  • Strong business judgment and decision-making skills.



  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to effectively communicate financial information to technical and non-technical audiences.



  • Experience with Concur and Great Plains and/or Business Central is preferred.



  • Foreign currency background a plus but not required.

WORKING CONDITIONSWorking environment is a class-A professional office building. Office space is beautifully as well as functionally decorated including all required technology tools. Employee is seated most of the time.This role follows a hybrid working model, with a base out of our Newport Beach office. Associates are generally expected to work from the office 2-3 days per week, allowing for a balance of in-person collaboration and flexible remote working.REQUIRED TRAINING1.
