+ put the student firstJob Description:Position Summary:Seeking a teacher who will model virtue, deliver quality lessons, and maintain academic progress, classroom discipline and accurate records. The instructor will work with colleagues and parents to provide a rigorous classical education for all students.Education RequirementsMust have a minimum of a Bachelor's degree (B.A. or B.S.) from four-year accredited college or university. Teacher certification is not required.
- If a teacher holds a teaching certificate issued from a state other than Texas, he or she must inquire with the Texas State Board of Education (Educator Certification) to see what is necessary in order to be considered “Highly Qualified” in the state of Texas.
- Experience teaching in a classical school, or experience teaching with classical traditional methods.
- Must have a passion for students.
- Must have passion for and strong knowledge of the instructional academic content.
- Must be able to model virtue, and teach virtue through the curriculum.
- Must have an understanding of and passion for classical education.
- Must be able to learn and implement classical teaching curricula and methods.
- Must be able to maintain a classroom of approximately 20-25 students.
- Must have the ability and patience to work interactively with students.
- Must have the ability to understand the academic needs of students.
- Must have strong organizational, time management, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Must have the ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships.
- Must have the ability to communicate with all levels of students, their parents, the community, peers, campus administration, superintendents, and corporate staff.
- Must have the ability to interpret policy, procedures, and student data such as diagnostic test results.
- Must have the ability to transition with changes.
- Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Must have the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Must have the ability to travel as necessary (i.e. field trips, class trips, trainings, etc.).
- Must be computer literate.
- The Teacher will actively participate in marketing and student recruiting activities as necessary.
Expected salary: $54133 - 55887 per year
