The data collection processes performed by this role directly impact departments such as Health Information Management, Patient Financial Services, clinical services, and other areas within the hospital. Individuals in this role often serve as a patient's first impression of customer service prior to the delivery of care.This position will work on-site from 9:45AM to 6:15PM. - Obtains, enters, and verifies demographic and financial information in the computer system for registration areas including ambulatory services, ancillary departments, emergency room, urgent care, lab, and radiology. Collects point of service payments in accordance with department policy and practice.
- Adheres to customer service guidelines for the Patient Access Department and demonstrates excellent customer service delivery in daily interactions.
- Meets all business and compliance expectations of the department and CMH.
- HS diploma or equivalent required and 1-2 years experience One year of experience in customer service, patient access, revenue cylce or business office setting.
- Associate's Degree preferred and 1-2 years experience One year of experience in customer service, patient access, revenue cylce or business office setting.
