Senior Software Engineer - Java, Oracle/ Durham, NC ( Remote),6 Months C2H
Dynamic Work schedule - This is 5 days on site a month- in the same week then the remainder of the month is working from home. ( They can fly/drive into the office as well). As part of the eDB2 Team, you will provide Development and Support for data integration and services required for numerous Fidelity Brokerage applications. There is a tight integration between eDB2 and these applications, which leads to significant involvement in both Discretionary Projects and Production Support activities. Under minimal direction, you will conduct analysis, design, and develop using PL/SQL, SQL, Shell Scripting, UNIX and JAVA technologies.The Expertise You Have
- 6+ years Oracle and JAVA Development experience required
- Extensive, hands-on working experience with Oracle database, PL/SQL, SQL, Data Modeling and Shell Scripting
- Experience with Oracle Golden Gate replication is a plus.
- Experience developing Java, Spring Framework and REST/SOAP Web Services
- Experience designing and maintaining Cloud applications (AWS, Azure)
- Experience with CI/CD process (Jenkins, UDeploy, Concourse, Terraform)
- Knowledge of Equities market and Trading of Stock, Options and Mutual Funds
- Prior experience with Production Support activities is a plus
- BS with a technology related subject area is preferred
- You have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, balancing multiple tasks simultaneously
- You have experience with relational database design and analysis
- You have ability to take initiative and are self-motivated
- You have excellent written and verbal communication skills
- You can work in a highly matrixed, agile environment
- Performing independent technical and functional analysis for determining and developing the best delivery approaches based on requirements
- Providing original and creative technical solutions to ongoing development efforts and critical initiatives
- Development on small to sophisticated initiatives, components, and subsystems
- Supporting and performing all phases of testing leading to final implementation, including unit, integration, acceptance testing and production install validation
- Crafting and maintaining clear and concise technical documentation and status
- Providing application support, problem diagnosis and resolution, acting as an on-call resource supporting the organization incident escalation models, including code release validation and production installation support
