About the position


The System Design and Integration Specialist at Boeing will play a crucial role in supporting the Integrated Product Data Management (IPDM) team by managing and sustaining application and IT infrastructure environments for the Siemens Teamcenter suite of applications. This position requires a blend of technical expertise and collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure effective implementation and support of delivery systems products, contributing to Boeing's defense programs.


Responsibilities




  • Performs product and component management to ensure technical viability and cost-effectiveness from evaluation through implementation and support to retirement.
  • ,

  • Uses technical expertise to assist business partners by answering technical questions regarding the usage, troubleshooting, and functionality of delivery systems products.
  • ,

  • Applies knowledge of computing systems to choose appropriate troubleshooting techniques to resolve complex, escalated delivery systems problems.
  • ,

  • Works with appropriate product suppliers for enhancements and issues not resolved in-house.
  • ,

  • Chooses appropriate computing products and methods to ensure requirements are met for security, problem management, capacity/performance management, and operational management.
  • ,

  • Documents resolutions/analyses according to support procedures.
  • ,

  • Identifies, evaluates, and documents computing system requirements.
  • ,

  • Evaluates product usability, affordability, functionality, security, and performance to assess suitability for integration into delivery system environments.

  • Assists in the design, build, and test of delivery systems and components.

  • Deploys software components into application environments, including installation, upgrades, and migrations.

Requirements




  • Bachelor's degree or higher.
  • ,

  • 3+ years of experience integrating complex applications on Windows and Linux platforms.
  • ,

  • 3+ years of experience supporting desktop, server, storage, or network hardware and software components.
  • ,

  • 3+ years of experience supporting cross-functional teams.


Nice-to-haves




  • 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • ,

  • Active Secret clearance or higher.
  • ,

  • Experience in Teamcenter or other product data management systems.
  • ,

  • Experience administering and troubleshooting Java application servers (Weblogic, Websphere, Jboss, etc.).

  • Experience with application development and agile software processes.

  • Experience with server and/or database administration.

  • Experience with cloud application migration.
