Job Description

We are looking for an Experienced Podiatry Medical Biller to handle a variety of billing and accounts receivable tasks remotely. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of hands-on experience in medical billing, including payment posting, claims scrubbing, appeal writing, and accounts receivable recovery. This position requires someone who can work independently and efficiently in a remote setting while maintaining the highest level of accuracy and compliance.



Please note: Only candidates with relevant medical billing experience will be considered. This position is not for entry-level applicants.



Key Responsibilities

• Payment Posting: Accurately post payments from insurance companies and patients to accounts. Address discrepancies promptly to ensure correct allocation.


• Claims Scrubbing: Review and edit claims before submission to verify all required information is correct and complete, preventing denials.


• Appeal Writing: Prepare and submit appeals for denied or underpaid claims, providing clear explanations and supporting documentation for successful resolutions.


• Accounts Receivable Recovery: Manage and follow up on outstanding accounts receivable by contacting insurance companies and patients to resolve issues and ensure timely payments.


• Billing Accuracy: Stay up-to-date with billing codes, payer policies, and regulations to ensure compliance and accuracy in all billing activities.


• Documentation: Maintain detailed and organized records of billing activities, communications, and resolutions for audits or inquiries.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of podiatry medical billing experience, with expertise in payment posting, claims scrubbing, appeal writing, and accounts receivable recovery.


• Must have Podiatry Billing Experience


• Knowledge of software such as Modernizing Medicine, Veracity, eClinical Works, Nextgen, RXNT, Athena.


• Proven ability to manage billing tasks efficiently and with high accuracy.


• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.


• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to write clear, persuasive appeals.


• Proficiency in medical billing software and electronic health record (EHR) systems.


• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote, fast-paced environment.


• Passion for medical billing and commitment to delivering top-quality service.
