We are looking for an experienced Software Engineering Manager to join our team passionate about our Retail Store Workforce Management Solutions. The ideal candidate for this job will have experience providing technical leadership in the delivery of significant work efforts. We want to hire someone passionate about developing others and investing in building their team. We are also looking for someone who has established relationships with internal customers, developed an understanding of business issues and drivers of success, and crafted future technology needs for a core business area. WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON:



There is a heavy emphasis in this team on configuration of SaaS products. There is also a significant amount of integration engineering. You will provide technical leadership and mentorship to ensure high quality work is delivered. You will assign work, supervise work quality, and review output. You will find opportunities to improve operational processes and make recommendations to management. Core accountabilities of this job include:


  • Lead the engineering track of our new Workforce Management deployment, including software configuration, integrations, and testing.

  • Manage the operations of our existing solution, team members, and vendor.

  • Implement new processes and tools, such as automated testing, to increase quality and reliability.

  • Collaborate with, product managers, engineering teams, and other departments to ensure design and implementation meet internal standards

  • Mentor and empower geographically dispersed team members to develop their skills and successfully deliver the work of the area.

  • Prepare and deliver performance evaluations and conduct performance management coaching.

WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH:



You will work closely with the Retail Product Management, Program Management and Retail Operations teams to ensure that goals, objectives and work plans of the group align with the product roadmap and priorities. Additionally, you will work with other technology teams that lead the up- and down-streams solutions to coordinate dependencies and roadmaps.



WHAT YOU BRING:



To make it clear, we're not looking for just anyone. We're looking for someone special, someone who had these experiences and clearly demonstrated these skills:

  • Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Experience in managing a distributed team of professional employees and contractors.

  • Experience with Workforce Management solutions for optimized Employee Scheduling. Solutions could include UKG Dimensions, Kronos Workforce Central, Legion, Reflexis, Infor, etc.

  • Some knowledge in configuration of various components that are standard for Nike, such as S3, EC2, Airflow and Nifi, Lambda, SQS, AWS SNS, AWS Cloud Formation

  • Experience selecting and implementing test automation practices and solutions.

  • Experience working in an Agile methodology.

  • Experience in an Agile or Scrum development environment, including a demonstrated ability to deliver software applications in this environment

  • Proven ability to deliver highly integrated software applications with complex dependencies. Support quality overviews

  • Proven experience as a member of a large project / project team

  • Outstanding collaboration, listening, written and verbal communication skills

  • High tolerance for ambiguity and changing priorities

  • Strong scripting for task automation in Python or other complex language

  • Amazon Web Services operation, maintenance, implementation and design

  • Cloud management & Integrate tools and systems via API
