    Responsibilities:
  • Communicate with the clients to discuss website design and function
  • Design and build the front end of the website
  • Build the website architecture
  • Design and deploy website back-end, including database and server integration
  • Create WordPress themes and plugins
  • Run website performance tests and troubleshoot issues
  • Monitor the live website performance
    Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s/Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, IT, or a relevant field
  • 3+ years of demonstrable experience as a WordPress developer (rare exceptions for super-efficient devs)
  • In-depth knowledge of programming and front-end technologies, like HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and jQuery
  • Expertise in front-end frameworks, like Bootstrap or Foundation
  • Knowledge of at least one programming language, from PHP, ASP.NET, Ruby, etc.
  • Understanding of code versioning tools, including Git, Mercurial, SVN
  • Sound understanding of website architecture, aesthetics, and SEO perspectives
  • Familiarity with network diagnostics and network analytics tools
  • Fluency in English to collaborate with engineering managers
  • Work full-time (40 hours/week) with a 4-hour overlap with US time zones
    Preferred skills:
  • Familiarity with object-oriented programming.
  • Understanding of web app security, session management, and best methods
  • Outstanding troubleshooting and communication skills
  • The zeal for working in a fast-paced environment
  • Effective time management and organizational skills
  • Experience working with debugging tools such as Chrome Inspector and Firebug
  • Experience in working throughout the Agile Scrum process
