Responsibilities
Oversee and contribute to the daily care of animal patients within the Veterinary Medical Center (VMC).

Supervise, hire, and oversee training of technical staff.

Ensure appropriate staffing levels are maintained.

Manage communication regarding client care.

Perform duties associated with veterinary technician/nurse I and II as necessary.

Continue to provide technician/nurse support to current service in VMC.
Requirements
Knowledge normally acquired in the first two or three years in college or technical/vocational school with coursework in Veterinary Technology.

Three to five years of related and progressively more responsible work experience in patient care, surgery, drug dosing, and sterilization.

Licensed as a Veterinary Technician with the State of Michigan, or attainment of such certification within one year of employment.

AALAS certification may be required.
Nice-to-haves
3-5 years as a Veterinary Technician in an educational setting.
