National Education and Engagement Manager
Education & Engagement2025We are seeking a passionate and dynamic Director of Education and Engagement to join our salon and corporate team. This role is responsible for enhancing staff performance through training and education, driving client engagement initiatives, and ensuring our team stays aligned with industry trends, brand standards, and service excellence.Key Responsibilities:Staff Education & Development:
- Plan, coordinate, and lead regular in-salon and remote training sessions on cutting, coloring, styling, and product knowledge.
- Lead a nationwide team of educators and engagement specialists
- Facilitate and support ongoing professional development.
- Collaborate with product vendors and external educators for workshops and certifications.
- Monitor skill development and provide feedback and coaching to team members.
- Awarding and Rewarding anniversary and service dates/milestones/achievements
Client Engagement & Experience:
- Support the development and implementation of programs that enhance the client experience.
- Collaborate with marketing on promotional events, open houses, and loyalty programs.
- Act as a brand ambassador in the salon, ensuring team and client alignment with salon culture and values.
Team Communication & Culture:
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and motivating work environment.
- Organize team-building activities and initiatives to boost morale and collaboration.
- Serve as a liaison between leadership and staff to ensure clear communication and mutual feedback.
Trends & Innovation:
- Stay current with industry trends, techniques, and tools to ensure the salon remains competitive.
- Recommend new services, techniques, or technologies based on market research and stylist input.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as an educator and content creator. Salon industry preferred
- Licensed cosmetologist or equivalent certification preferred
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Passion for mentorship, growth, and continuous learning.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings or weekends for events or trainings.
- Ability to Travel 75% monthly
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with educational software.
- Knowledge of marketing and customer engagement strategies.
- Leadership or coaching background.
