Quality assurance engineers will participate in one or more Agile Scrum teams to validate and improve our in-house developed software. QA engineers will participate in backlog grooming, write test cases, and then craft automated tests using the latest technologies such as Selenium WebDriver/JMeter. This person will gain knowledge and experience in the latest technologies, both in the genetics and technology industries. Knowledge of genetic testing, molecular biology, or other scientific-related disciplines is a huge benefit, but is not required. - Participate with your teams in agile scrum meetings, including backlog grooming, sprint planning, and retrospectives
- Analyze specified requirements, develop test plans, and effectively leverage the Atlassian suite (JIRA, Confluence, Bitbucket, TestRail, Bamboo) for all changes, including writing test cases, documentation, and change tracking
- Test new features as required, ensuring all changes are compliant with regulations such as HIPAA and SOX
- Create automated tests, and test new features as required, ensuring all changes are compliant with regulations such as HIPAA and SOX
- Support stakeholders/end users (mostly internal) with troubleshooting and or general application support as needed
- Proactively works with team members as needed to resolve issues and meet project goals
- Other duties as assigned
- 3+ years of experience in automation testing
- 6+ years of experience manually testing software
- Bachelor's or advanced degree in Computer Science or related discipline or equivalent work experience
- Working knowledge of the software development life cycle and testing methodologies
- Experience with manually testing changes made to changes made to a software system
- Experience with automated testing tools, such as Selenium WebDriver/JMeter, etc
- Experience with performance testing using load testing tools
- Background in one or more programming languages, such as Java/Python, etc
- Understanding of relational databases and test data management (ex: MySQL)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to lead and drive projects with minimal oversight
- ASTQB Certification
- Experience working with CI/CD tools
- Experience with cloud computing platforms, such as AWS/Azure
