This position is Full Time - Remote- Temp to Hire Position. The candidate must be able to work Pacific Standard hours since the organization is located in California.ORGANIZATION TYPE: Arts and Culture NonprofitLOCATION: Remote ( Organization located in California)POSITION TITLE: Development and Operations ManagerSCHEDULE: 30 - 40 hours a week 9am-5pm PSTDURATION: Temporary to PermanentHOURLY RATE: $31.00/hr - $35.00/hrPermanent Salary- $80,000Is This Your Dream Job? The Development Manager will work closely with the Development team to implement effective grants management with a particular focus on efficiency and collaboration. The Development Manager will report to the Director of Development and will work closely with the Development staff including the supervision of the Development Associate. The Development Manager will be directly responsible for the overall operations of the Development team, including gift entry, prospect research, Salesforce database and administrative support. This position reports directly to the Director of Development.Our Ideal Candidate:Bachelor's degree required.● Five years of experience in management/supervisory positions in the Development field.● Experience with back office functions related to gift processing, data entry and reporting.● Experience with Salesforce database.● High energy and passion for Organizations mission.● Flexibility to adjust hours to meet deadlines and needs of the organization, including availability to work occasional evenings and weekends.How You Will Spend Your Day: * Maintain Works closely with the Director of Development in creating and implementing development operation procedures, policies and strategies.


  • Manages day to day operations of the development team, including full and part time staff members and outside consultants and/or vendors using discretion and independent judgment.

  • Builds and maintains development calendar of grant proposal, report, and LOI deadlines to ensure timely submission of all grant materials

  • Assures integrity of data and records, deleting duplicate records, appropriate coding etc.

  • Responsible for Salesforce data administration.

  • Manage and resolve fundraising database issues by eff ectively managing relevant aspects of the database support process.

  • Assist Director of Development with team budget management.

  • Leads prospect research for institutional funders.

  • Works closely with the Finance team on record keeping and account reconciliation.

  • Ensure procedures are in place to check the quality of data entered in Salesforce.
