We are actively hiring for a Commercial Insurance Scrum Master.

    Your work:
  • Lead 1-2 Scaled Agile application development teams.
  • Motivate and coach teams in agile practices and ceremonies to achieve higher levels of maturity.
  • You will lead the Agile cadence activities within the Scrum framework, ensuring participation from team members and key stakeholders.
  • Partner with Product owner to keep backlog groomed, prioritized and refined and hold the team accountable for DoR (Definition of Ready), DoD (Definition of Done)
  • Create and enforce Team/Organization working agreements to standardize processes across all teams
  • Participate & contribute in Agile Release Train (ART) meetings for your Value Stream to provide status, discuss impediments which cannot be resolved by the team and raise risks to business deliverables
  • Facilitate & support the team through Program Increment planning discussions to publish Team objectives for that PI (committed/uncommitted)
  • Produce , maintain and track relevant artifacts to measure and continuously improve Sprint and ART metrics
  • Support the teams in maturation of Agile practices using new tools/technologies and helps other less experienced scrum masters do the same.
  • Produce relevant artifacts including sprint metrics, velocity, burn-down charts, etc.
  • Communicate and coordinate with the Systems and Operations teams to ensure Release Readiness
  • Facilitate discussions to manage dependencies to stay on track of execution as per the PI plan
  • Remove impediments or guides the team to remove impediments by finding the right personnel to remove the impediment.
  • Works effectively across different workstreams or programs to drive consensus.
  • Clearly articulates, maintains and manages team level risks and impacts and ensures successful resolution.
  • Shield the team from outside distractions and interference.
  • Develop and manage team release plans and sprint plans in support of delivering business value.
  • Supports the Product Owner to monitor, review and maintain a healthy sprint backlog and product backlog in coordination with team members.
  • Develop internal and external communication, improving transparency.
  • Facilitate scaling ceremonies (Scrum of Scrums, Portfolio Alignment, etc.)
    What would make us excited about you?
  • 3+ years working as scrum master.
  • Servant leader passionate about leading software development teams.
  • Experience conducting scrum ceremonies including daily stand-up, sprint planning, retrospective, etc.
  • Ability to manage ambiguity and drive clarity within the team and with stakeholders.
  • Must be able to clearly communicate ideas, both visually and verbally.
  • Proficiency in Jira/Confluence.
  • Scrum Master Certification such as CSM , SAFe or similar.
  • Work experience in a software development environment.
  • Insurance industry knowledge is desirable.

The national average salary range for this position is $115,220 - $127,900. However, we have a location-based compensation structure. Our salary ranges vary and are calculated based on county of residence. The full salary range for this position across all the states we hire in is $103,559 - 153,500. This role also includes an opportunity for a company-wide annual discretionary bonus, through our Annual Incentive Plan (AIP), of up to 10% of eligible pay.
