Responsibilities: • Provide excellent customer service to members of a Medicare Advantage plan. • Ability to manage a senior population by exhibiting a strong dedication to showing empathy. Using active listening skills to hear members and their concerns. • Documenting calls appropriately to reflect each interaction with the members. • Ability to meet and exceed contact center targets for call management, quality, adherence to schedule. • Manage all calls with professionalism and escalate calls when necessary to the next level.

Operational hours are Monday through Friday – 8am-8pm EST – varies shifts available within operational hours. During open enrollment, the operation hours will change to include weekends as part of the work shift.

Qualifications: • 1-2 years of experience in health insurance/Medicare/Medicaid customer service. • 1 year of customer service experience in a call center environment; 1+ years using QNXT • Member Service knowledge, HIPAA, Claims and Provider Services knowledge. • High School graduate or GED; 2-4 years undergraduate degree or certificate is a plus. • Candidate must have excellent written and oral communication skills. • Experience in using dual monitors, multiple applications, and phone simultaneously. Keyboard skills and ability to enter data with accuracy.

Hourly Rate and Other Compensation:

The hourly rate for this position is between $18.00 - $20.00 per hour, depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate. This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
