This part-time position is an ongoing recruitment in which applications are collected year-round. Applicants must be available to teach the daytime, evening or weekend hours. Position Responsibilities GENERAL FACULTY RESPONSIBILITIES: Participate in relevant department assessment activities. Strive to enhance teaching and learning techniques. Instruct classes utilizing techniques and knowledge of the discipline that facilitate student learning. Participate in decision-making processes by taking part in department and college committees. Pursue professional development. Strive to enhance teaching and learning techniques. Work well with people of all ages from academically, culturally, and socioeconomically diverse backgrounds. Understand and commit to the mission of Clark College. POSITION SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES: Instruct welding/fabrication students in blueprint reading. Qualifications MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND COMPETENCIES: Five (5) years' of experience working with blueprints as a welder, fabricator or engineer. Experience working with engineers or as an engineer in reviewing or drawing of blueprints. Experience with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerance. Experience teaching or training people on reading blueprints. Ability to read weld symbols. Teaching experience. Ability to work well as a member of a team. Ability to work well with people of all ages from academically, culturally, and socioeconomically diverse backgrounds. Supplemental Information SALARY STATEMENT: Lecture hourly rate is $85.48, and lab hourly rate is $73.01.
